Wisconsin star Sam Dekker had a huge first half for the Badgers in the Sweet 16 on Thursday night, going for 15 points on a variety of shots and tipping in a teammate’s miss at the halftime buzzer to send his squad into the locker room down just two points to North Carolina.
Twitter users, of course, chattered aplenty about Dekker’s stellar effort. But there was just one problem: “Decker” — not “Dekker” — became the United States’ trending topic, thanks to some mass spelling errors by fans.
The official Twitter account of March Madness, it seems, has no patience for poor spellers.
